We laid our sod on Saturday. Thus ends the era of the backyard mud puddle. There's still work to be done - we have to edge the grass, dig up the beds, plant some shrubs and mulch before it gets cold. But things are shaping up!
I will certainly agree that it looks good thus far. We still have a long way to go in getting rid of fungus-laden topsoil and mulch from our flowerbeds, but it's been a hoot thus far.

So you placed sod on top of fungus-laden topsoil?
no, no.. the fungus is in the non-adjacent bed near our A/C. The dirt under our sod is quite nice, didn't even need any pH correction.
